Ethos Captain

MOHAMMED ALI

"Character sets the standard; culture defines the legacy."

About me

I’m currently in Grade 12, serving as the Ethos Captain of India International School, Sharjah. Before this, I served as the Heritage Club Captain in Grade 10 and worked my way up to Deputy Council Secretary in Grade 11, so leadership is something I’ve grown into over the years rather than just stepped into overnight. Each position taught me something different — about people, about responsibility, and about what it actually means to lead rather than just hold a title. Outside of school, I have a strong interest in the world of business and the way things move and connect on a larger scale, which is why I’m looking to build my career in Business or Supply Chain Management.

What I do

As Ethos Captain, my responsibility is to uphold, promote, and preserve our school’s values and culture, ensuring they are reflected in the actions of every student, both within and beyond the school. I work to uphold positive standards of student behavior, encourage strong character, and guide students to act with integrity, respect, and accountability in everything they do. Through culture-based activities and initiatives, I aim to deepen students’ understanding of our school’s ethos and inspire them to carry its values into their everyday lives. I also strive to remain approachable and supportive, ensuring every student has someone they can turn to for guidance or to raise concerns regarding bullying, behavior, or other challenges, with such concerns referred to the appropriate school authorities. Ultimately, my role is to help shape a school community where strong character is demonstrated, our culture is valued, and every student takes pride in the standards we uphold as a school.
